Did search and was surprised to note only 2 threads for rechrome and 1 for bumpers, so here's one that does both.
The Bus is soon to have newly refurbed bumpers fitted and all fittings have been zinc plated. Work was undertaken by Willochrome of St Helens 01744 738488. Work was not without delay as gave the parts in Feb and when they got round to do them in April, rang me to say they wouldnt do as the rear had two holes in. Asked them to do waht they could and found repairer - AleoPlating, Vauxhall Rd Liverpool - to repair holes. Took a couple of weeks for repair. Meantime Kevin did the rechrome and he now just has rear to do, so all should be ready in a few days.
£420 rechrome both and £120 for repair. Not bad, ey? Needs one overrider cos one rear is knackered. Wadhams I guess, unless anyone has a spare that'll polish up with autosol? (left rear)
Just the power steering box then MOT will be granted, then off to R&S for the full Webasto - fitting delayed due to other lad taking 14 weeks - ok, only 15 hrs labour charged - to fit new front & rear screen seals, with fronts needing welding. Then recon box. Should look & run grand for my friends' wedding in August and beyond.

I can recommend Derby Plating for a first class job but horribly expensive

Best not to use autosol on chrome as it is abrasive. It is good on door frames (coupe) and other stainless trim, and stainless exhausts !

Autosol does one for chrome. It is important to wax after chrome cleaning.

Particulary for new chrome - do not use chrome cleaner !! It will leave tiny scratches in the new chrome surface.
Better to always use wax car polish on new chrome.
Cheers
