Started the work on the bootlid,looked very solid initially until all the paint was removed and filler discovered Luckily (for me!) my mate Rick is a welding & panel fabricating god,so no repair panels were bought Corner repair. All back to bare steel,just the thinnest skim of filler over the welds. All in filler/primer,awaiting the topcoat. I bought one of those pinstriping kits from frosts,will let you know how it performs,not ready for a while yet me thinks

We managed to get the boot lid painted over the weekend,pleased with the results ;D We also had a bash at re-fitting the stainless trim around the rear window. What a pig! Just couldn't get the 2 bits to line up perfectly in the middle,and very scared of slipping and damaging the new paint. It's on now,but not perfect...might take it off and re-do it when there's nothing else to do (yeah,right....)
