Most P5's have filler in them!
Even Pressed Steel heavily lead loaded all the joints

More updates today,the quick sort out of a few bubbles is fast becoming an off the road till the end of the year job  Oh well,it'll be good when finished ;D A bit of metal manipulation saw all the filler removed and the wing beaten back in to shape:-  Next,we are going to have a stab at lead-loading!  |

Rather pleased with this neat little weld  Wing almost ready for paint (when it stops raining ,what a year to choose to restore a car in the open!) and then start on the doors and boot-lid. Obviously all this paintwork means I will need to re-do the pinstripe.The previous effort looks as though it was done with masking tape,and whilst ok was not ideal. Have any of you guys had experience with a pro pin-striper? Do such folk still exist?? |

Well done O2. I know what you mean about the weather, very frustrating but we have seemed to got away with the worst of it in Bedfordshire compared to the West/rest of the country. Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming. |

I have often wondered whether to buy one of these but decided to keep with the plastic stick on tapes as they are so easy, cheap & practical to replace when the inevitable stone chips, rust and dents from careless parkers hav eto be dealt with evey year. My car will never be concours so few people would know what is supposed to be there

I used a plastic stripe like Phil then masked both sides with Fine line tape then removed the plastic strip  there are a few more pics on the site |

A lovely day today,not too hot,no rain....just right for the joys of spraying outside ;D  Wet-flatting the filler primer.  Hard work getting the wing beading right,but was happy with the results.  Still to be flatted,cutted & polished,but not bad straight from the gun,especially with celly. |
