Hello I'm looking for some help finding a good reliable and quiet electric fuel pump for my Rover P5B. I currently do have an electric pump in the boot near the fuel tank but it is quite old and a bit noisy although that could be due to it's location. I could use it as a secondary pump in the event of a new primary pump failure. So any suggestions please

My deafness is getting worse and even with both hearing aids switched off I can hear the rear mounted pumps in the P4 and P5 Mini and now P2 ticking away at moderate speeds

Your right George 4 psi max Thanks for that confirmation, John, I was not quite sure. The pump I have on mine has been on for many years. I bought a Facet but thought it looked a bit cheap and did not like the connections ! So I bought one for a V8 Sherpa, which is a cylinder, in one end and out the other. No idea what the pressure is though, but it is very quiet.

The answer to the fuel pressure output is to fit a pressure regulator downstream, as I have on my P6B. That can be adjusted to give optimum performance.

Hi,
I've fitted 'Bearmach' Land Rover V8 electric fuel pump's (on rubber-exhaust bobin's) to the N/S inner-wing's of both my Saloon and Coupe' and I've found them to be very reliable, quiet and easy to fit...their cheap too, at around £25.00 each...their unobtrusive, whilst having a 'period-correct' look about them too...
Whilst they can be heard quietly 'ticking-away' when the ignition is switched on, once the engine is running, they can't really be heard at all.
For info, the Bearmach Part No is: PRC3901 and they can be bought from most decent Land Rover part suppliers.
Kind Regards,
Guy.
