As far as I know they are the same. As are the fronts.

Identical for all P5's even the sixes - the only problem with secondhand ones being the trims holes do not line up.
Incidentally the new ones on Ebay are I believe from Andrew Bailey late of Roverland who formed the original Rover 1/2 Litre Owners Club way before the P5OC. This was a proprietary club ie his members pay him money which he made profits on. He did run a prosperous and respected P5/P6 restoration business and parts supplier - again before JRW/Ray Weekly and his prices were quite astounding. I have a 20 year old price list still. He sold me a secondhand and very rusty rear shock absorber because I needed one (it broke because the Y bush failed!) urgently - it was over £30 which was steep.
Its all a matter of supply and demand with spares - remember though most new factory spares wings fit very poorly as they were said to be production line rejects when the 15 year old body tooling was well worn out. As with new fronts they may some fettling to fit properly - they may be very old stock though and be the thicker steel of the earlier cars

Surely a new one wouldn't have been difficult to get 20 years back. I replaced mine (one had also broken) when we rebuilt her 15 years ago. I think I got mine at an autojumble though & I bought them before I knew I needed them.

Some spares for both P4's and P5's were not common and definiely not cheap. Things are actually better now in cases. I have bought new sets at autojumbles since and I bought a whole car just to get a decent rustless back bumper £350. The spares I got off it including almost new back wings I found out turned out to be good bargain in the end, still using them even now.

When we restored ours I bought an original Rover rear wing from JRW for £175 if I recall. You wouldn't get it from him for that price now I'll warrant though I baulked at the time. Got the opposite side, also original Rover for £60 at the Enfield pageant so the pair worked out quite reasonably. But I've seen some bargains go on ebay & even some at autojumbles since.
