As per title. The power steering belt was very loose. Here's how it looked with the old belts off... The new belts were even looser, so back to the shop for some shorter ones.

Perhaps I'm missing something within the context of your comment! OK, the belts don't fit and are incorrect for the application, but what are you actually trying to point out? It's apparent from the photos, the heavy oxidation on the waterpump and thick oily crud on the power steering pump amongst other things, that it all needs a lot of TLC.

Nothing in particular, just blogging. It does need a bit of a clean-up in the engine bay. Thanks for looking.

They're lovely cars and are obviously getting on in years. Unfortunately IMHO without a modicum of care they can look forlorn like a whipped dog although an inanimate object. Keep your blog going but spend some time with a can of degreaser & WD40 giving that engine bay some TLC before the new belts go on. Cars always run better after a wash...just like a dog...don't know why!

New power steering belt fitted. The new fan belts were all too short so they've got to go back to the shop and I re-used the old belt for the time being as it wasn't too bad. Ran it to the petrol station today and all was grooving.
