sorry guys and gals how pray tell do you or can you tighten up the rear seat squab from front seat . mine is begining to really naff me off each time i drive off i nearly end up flat on my back answers please that dont endorse a diet please big (that is tall and overweight) andy

Take the SS side cover off the door side of the seat you should see a large hexagonal nut with holes in one hole there will be a screw! loosen the grey tension/lock lever then remove the screw in the big nut turn the nut one hole clockwise and refit the screw and try the lock lever if it still doesn't grip try another hole till it does

You could find that the ends with hexagonal bolt heads( where the long and short rods go through are seized causing the mechanism not to work properly.
This happened to mine and I had to replace it. I could not get them to move even when removed from the seat.
You can tighten it so that the seat stays up although if seized the seat back becomes difficult to move even if the arm is released and the seat will not lock up properly.
Hope yours is not seized and that you can adjust the tension with the screw
