Hi
It is easy, just read James Taylor. The change was in September 1968 for Suffix B cars (model-year 1969).
Regards
Lars

Thanks for that Lars so anything after Sept 68 would be the thin variety? I shall have to get a copy of James Taylor

So my chassis number ending in "C" would mean that the thin ones I have fitted are correct even though the car is registered 69

Probably - but Rover did not always fit things systematically with chassis numbers on trim items during transitional periods. Nothing with these these cars is 100% definite!
Model years go from Sep-Aug so Sep 68 is a 1969 model but August 68 is a 68!

Hello Phil nice to have you back thanks for the info it's all a bit confusing as to what and when change overs happened

Correct! It can be useful though as two cars showing different parts of appraently the same age can be both "original"
