Hi does anyone know what road speed you should be doing at 3000rpm for a 3litre mk11 coupe auto with dg box many thanks

According to Autocar road test (Nov 1964) of a MK11 auto saloon, top gear is 20.6mph/1,000 rpm. As far as I'm aware the diff/gearbox ratios on saloons and coupés are the same (happy to be corrected), so the same 20.6mph for your,ie. 62mph @ 3000 rpm.

This is correct - our 64 Coupe auto is in line with this. Remember at that speed neither the in car speedo or rev counter is accurate. Its best to use GPS and a digital rev counter to verify the car instruments
