Back in the 1970's when a student, I bought this Mini Cooper for £100. Yes that was the original reg number, making it one of the very first Coopers made. Purchased a number of aerosol cans (they did large panel size) and resprayed it in two tone green. It was fitted with an 1100cc twin carb engine which gave blistering acceleration, but low top speed. After around a year, sold it for £110 and thought I made a killing. The new owner wrapped it around a lamp post. The only car I ever regret selling. Thanks to my son Tom, for reminding me of this long lost love.
