Are early & late type ball joints directly interchangeable? The reason I’m asking is I’m looking at replacing mine as they are quite worn & might as well use early greasable ones if they are, if not I’ll just fit the “sealed” type

Which ball joints? No need to replace the suspension ones as they can be reconditioned OT good secondhand obtained.

If it is the 4 under the car Roverpart have them on ebay. I did mine last year and the previous ones which were the same had lasted well. The 2 with LH and RH thread are more difficult to find.

Sorry it’s the ones in the bottom arms, I know repair kits are available but certainly my o/s one is probably borderline, I haven’t looked at the n/s yet

New ones crop up on eBay sometimes but they fetch a good price. As they have to be pressed in a good secondhand arm complete is the best option. Roverpart had them

I don’t have a problem using second hand ones (if I had any) but I‘m also trying to save a bit of time & get this job done as I have an ever increasing list of stuff to do for people & nowhere to do it.

worth the enquiry as they make much more than the few items on their website. Did you specify your car?
