Hi being an avid You Tube subscriber I am always on the look out for anything on Rover P5 3 litres. I have been looking forward to Scott from "Cold war motors" starting to restore his sister's P5 3 litre saloon. He hails from Canada. His video from 3 October 2020 is a walk through the rusty parts of the car he is too repair. You will find the segment about 3/4 way through, after the Monteverdi 4 X 4. The restoration will take place through the Canadian winter. The car is in better shape than mine. On those cold winter days when you have nothing better to do you can follow Scott in Canada restoring a P5.

www.youtube.com/channel/UCoculxk4_H8XzjPS_zbYUpQ is the link. There are two more episodes that show the Rover P5 3litre. On Dec 5th there are segments where they start to dismantle the car and also comments on how good the built quality is. They are Canadians so their comments reflect their views towards Brits (nothing offensive). Also you have to put up with their continuing restoration of a Renault 5. On their latest show ,12 Dec, we see the Rover having the front subassembly being removed and then the P5 being put on a rotisserie. There are good views of the rusted sills which they will repair in future episodes.

Hi All, Cold War Motors has just put out another video, dated 2nd January 2021, on the Rover P5 Saloon. This episode he makes new inner, middle and outer sills from flat steel. Just bends it into shape for a near perfect replacement. He also constructs a floor panel, again out of flat steel and it looks factory. It is a joy to watch him fit the sills, they just fit perfectly. Having just completed my sill job, on my 64 coupe, I can appreciate the skill needed. The fit is perfect.

Nice fabrication and methodical approach to the repairs. What I'd like to see and it isn't shown is the forming of the replacement repair panels from flat sheet metal.
