Morning everybody.
I am working on my 1970 Rover PB5 coupe.
I am struggling to locate bots and nuts.
Is there a master list somewhere listing all the bolts and nuts needed for this car? Or a kit or something available somewhere with all the bolts and nuts in it?
Particularly the engine and all its components is a struggle.

Hi DF,
Most of the UNF bolt and nut sizes are listed in the parts manual in the various parts explosions. A lot of the engine bits are UNC but being the popular old v8 there are plenty of stainless kits you can buy if you want to go that route?
I have used plenty of stainless but you do have to watch for spalling and use sense and correct lubrication.
The thing I always find hardest to match is the various thickness washers but of course you can get the old ones replated too if that's a look you prefer.

Any specialised Bolt and Nut supplier will have most of what you require including washers in all grades and torque specs. Obviously you don't go to your local Hardware store or Bunnings.
Headbolts and the like are available from specialist engine rebuilders for your particular engine. Google this stuff and you'll find it readily available.

Virtually the nust and bolts are UNIFIED Imperial thread UNF mostly but UNC in alloy, BA for electrical. They are ordered in the diameter although spanner sizes are measured across the flats AF

Consider using a stud set to secure the cylinder heads rather than bolts. I use APS made in USA, obtainable here from the usual engine specialist suppliers. Won't go into the benefits here, can be found online.

An interesting article! I'll have to admit that after removing the head from my E-Type and replacing the pistons, I would rather use bolts every time over studs. Trying to work off a head with 12 long studs and 24 shorter studs is a real pain. Putting it back on was easier but still took quite a bit of work. I've not had any problems with other engines that use bolts, you just have to torque it down in several steps (just like nuts on a stud).
