I have recently been reading various posts on the removal and installation of the rear wheel bearings, I am currently swapping out the differential (good second hand one), and thought it wise to do the wheel bearings at the same time, or at least get someone who has a press to do the job, as I don’t really fancy the hammer and tube alternative, I was going to purchase a press, but now think it’s just wiser to get someone who has experience in this field, which leads me on to a question, can anybody recommend a company that can do the job, possibly around the Berkshire area, or further, Thanks in advance, Andy.

Just make sure that the shop knows what they are doing. I had to have a rear bearing replaced and though they got the bearing in correctly, they put the seal on backwards and I've been leaking diff fluid ever since (since I'm in California so no one knows what a P5 is!). I've got the shaft out of the car and have removed the seal, a replacement should arrive tomorrow afternoon so should have it all back together by the end of the weekend.

Bartrams Land Rover can do these. They are P4 specialists which has the same set up. They are in Accrington but will not be able to do exchange for a P5 half axle www.bartram-lrs.co.uk/
