My 1972 P5B Coupe has developed a transmission fluid leak and the gearbox will need removal to enable a repair. We have a gearbox mechanic ready to overhaul the gearbox as required but my mechanic brother in law and I do not really have the facilities to remove and refit the gearbox. Does anyone know of a company in the SE of the UK that would undertake the removal and refit?

They all leak !
If the car is left for more than about 10 days the fluid in the torque convertor will drain back into the sump and leak out. The cork sump gasket will leak as it gives a very poor seal, fluid can also leak out through the inhibitor switch and the rubber seal for the gear shift rod.
The best thing to do is to clean the gearbox and then put kitchen towel along the edge above the sump pan and try to see where the fluid is coming out.
There are rubber sump gaskets available on ebay which should work better, but you need to make sure that the mating edge of the oil pan is flat with no raised bits, use a ball pien hammer to gently tap down the raised bolt holes, if needed.
Hardy engineering at Leatherhead might be able to do the gearbox for you.
For topping up use Castrol TQF or equivalent, unless you have been told otherwise.
