Hi Folks, I can't find answers to my questions regarding brakes even searching P5 site. Perhaps someone can help. 1) Looking at page 150 in the parts catalogue it shows the supply tank resevoir feeding the inlet of the Master Cylinder at the front end. Is this the correct positioning? I'm sure mine feeds the inlet nearest the car! 2) If the brakes grab and will not let go how do you determine whether it is the Master Cylinder or Servo which is at fault? 3) Can anything be done to the Servo without taking it to pieces? Servo is a 7" Mk11b serviced in 1998 and very little used. Your input would be most welcome. Tony

It feeds at the front - it cannot be wrong as the unions are different size. As to sticking on it could be both and lack of use is likely to be the problem unless the master cyl adjustment has been upset. If the master cylinder has not been re-rubbered recently then try this first. The Servo can only be serviced off the car by dismantling. None floating rear wheel cylinders, sticking caliper4 pistons and colla[sed hoses can also caiuse sticking brakes. All these problems have been raised on this site and the old one The answer to prevent reoccurrance is to use it more

Thank you for your comments which are most appreciated. I must say that it is misleading when you examine either Workshop Manuel or Parts Catalogue for the 3 litre and see that the fluid reservoir feeds the outlet of the Master Cylinder. My brakes were overhauled and new pipe work put in place and I have been checking everything to make sure things are as they should be. Tony
