Hi all I finally got the car painted last week. Still a little unsure about the colour , it’s a lot darker than I was looking for. We were going to paint the car outside but the weather had other ideas so I had to spend a day making space and putting up a plastic bubble. I have most of the bits back on and the seats ready to go back in thanks to woolies. I couldn’t get over how well the seats came up. I still have to make the two front door panels then we are ready for the road ;D. Picks on www.nevcc.net if anyone is interested just click on Restoration Projects then Rover P5B Coupé<br>

Congratulations Eamonn. She looks great. At least you can see some light at the end of the tunnel. What type of paint did you use? ;)GlennR

Thanks Glenn I intend to use this car as an every day car not a show wining car so I went for a middle of road 2 pack paint. There is a local guy who supplies and mixes the paint, it’s not bad but it’s no PPG. I got PPG for the Erskine when ever I get around to that . How are you getting on?

Thank's for asking, I have turned the car around and jacked up the rear end to work on dropping the axle, leaf springs etc. Welding in new rear chassis members, battery/boot floor, new rear panel. It is nice to see the car using it's proper jacking points to hold the car up.I intend to crack on with it mext week as I have had other things to get sorted since the last bank holiday. Would it be ok to post the other photo's onto my web site?GlennR

Please feel free Glenn. I would have liked to do a full restoration like yourself but I need something to drive ASAP as the minister from home affairs is not too pleased that I am using her car every day. My dad has a couple of Rovers maybe Ill see if he will part with one and spend some time doing it from the ground up.

Cameron Green never was an official P5 colour but there seems to be a number with it now some of which must have been a factory applied special order. Sage Green was a ver popular P4 colour and it does look well on your P5 with the Cameron Green What colours are you doing the coach lines? The same but reversed?

Yip the same but reversed. I hope to get the paint wheel of another club member this week. Never put them on b4 so should be interesting.
