Hi Bessie spent most of her days in Swaffham, kept by a garage owner and was then owned by his son. She has done 140k and still sounds sweet, so I guess she is ok for a few more yet. She is pretty standard except for cruise control fitted in 76 and a vacuum gauge which I find useful with the mpg! I have owned her for about 2 years and had the gearbox rebuilt last year. Apart from failing the MOT this year on a leaky o/s/r brake cylinder (tried repair kit and ended up fitting new cylinder!)and a missing brake pipe clip I have just tinkered with her doing cosmetic stuff. She has been, and still is a good running restoration for when time and money permits. Its a neverending job, but so rewarding. ;D I think I have now sussed out my ftp site so here are a few more pics. members.aol.com/swatts0001/img3.jpg members.aol.com/swatts0001/int1.jpg members.aol.com/swatts0001/int2.jpg

no problem...getting the hang of this now. The cruise works fine (made by econocruise)though not quite as smooth as modern day stuff, it gives car a bit of a kick to get back up to speed. As for if any others have cruise fitted I dont know, I havent heard of any but fairly new to this so will leave it open for any Rover guru's out there to answer. cheers

No I have never heard of one - although I do know the period type were rather primitive.
Its nbothing new though my P2 has a hand throttle and LandRovers had them in addition to the floor pedal - they are fixed though and rely on moving them manually!
