Grim, Try the following procedure
All I can do is tell you how I do it in good old plain english. Take your time, one at a time. Print this off to make it easier.
1) Pick the photo you wish to upload.
2) It is best to resize it first. When you click on on your photo to see what it looks like it should open in "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer"
3)Click on the far right symbol which say's when you put your mouse over it.."closes this program and opens the image for editing."
4)Click on the "image" tag and you get the resize table come up. I tend to reduce by 50%.or 80% it depends how small you wish the photo to be.
5) Then click file and "Save as" (I save mine onto the desktop of my computer).
6) This photo now needs to be uploaded on a site that hosts the photo so you can put it onto the Rover Website. Try
www.Imageshack.us or "www.photobucket.com" You have to open an account with them but it is simple and free. Let's use www imageshack.us? or you can chose one of your own?
7)Once you are onto the site and registered, you will see a box called "BROWSE".
TIP: I always save my photo's to the desk top when uploading, so I browse to the desktop then click on my photo.
8) I then scroll down to the box that say's "HOST IT" and click on it.
9)The photo then uploads and you should see a thumbnail of it.
10) Scroll down to where it says "DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE"
11)Highlight the link(left mouse button click) then right mouse click and select copy. ie
img457.imageshack.us/img457/4535/countessinnersill21is.jpg12) This can now be uploaded onto the Rover P5B website.
13) On the website click on the section "Photo Gallery of Owners cars"
14)Click on "NEW THREAD"
15)On the post message "SUBJECT" box write in what your subject is about.
16)Click on the "INSERT IMAGE BOX" (4th icon in, 2nd line. The mouse highlights the correct box)
17) you will see .
It should look like this..
img457.imageshack.us/img457/4535/countessinnersill21is.jpg18) Click the preview button to see what it looks like, write aswell what you want to say, preview again if you wish, and when you are happy with it "POST MESSAGE"
