Unfortunatley they are inserts as i did not have the money at the time to go the full hog, what with the costs involved and the biggest thing, what would the finished wheels look like? I like them as an alternative wheel. I have seen p5's with Wolfrace and other 70's wheel patterns but i think painted in the right way the SD1 wheels look the part.

There is one good thing about using inserts, at least when you have to replace the tyres you don't have to pay extra to have them. If you like the inserts, for around £30 they are good value for money, and should last a long time.

Has anyone had problems with them popping out?

Davy, when i got to the national the front whiteband had partly popped out so i deflated the tyre and removed it, it seemed as it had moved off the rim somehow. I think they are more suited to a steel rim than an alloy. It's all down to finances really, when ive stopped buying new bits for the new engine i may invest in some proper whitewalls. Kev.

Freddy, a friend of mine has some really wide wicked split rims that he intends fitting on one of his coupes but im not sure if they are 15 or 16's.I will let you know when he's fitted them on. Kev.
