I too have been enjoying a few local jaunts to make the most of the late summer weather. We went to East Fortune to view Concorde and posed YAL in front of a couple of the outdoor exhibits. We then retraced our steps to West Weymss to revisit the Belvedere, where we had enjoyed a superb bar lunch during the SARR Tour de Fife in May. To round off the month, we visited the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway where Deltic "Royal Scots Grey" was on duty. Hope you are all getting out and about whilst you can, before the salt demons return from their summer holidays!

Nice photo's T.C It is lovely to get out when you can and catch some admiring glances of the car. We are very lucky where we live as there is so much open countryside.

Very nice pics Trevor. I didn't know there was a DeHavilland Comet up there north of the border. The only one I knew of was at Duxford, and I'm not sure if that's still there. Those were the days when I worked on the very last of these aircraft prior to the Trident taking over. In fact somewhere in my loft I still have the design standards manual for the Comet. Nice to see the Vulcan bomber again. I hear that one is nearing completion of restoration work in order to fly again.

Its amazing where old airplane bits turn up. I was taking a walk down to my local Post Office recently and saw a chap cleaning up an instrument panel from a Halifax bomber prior to listing it on Ebay!
He then told me his back yard was full of bits of old planes, not really what one would expect to find in the middle of Polmont!
