Radical change in car ownership took place a week or so ago. Went from this to Rover P5B ownership. I've spent the weekend trying to bring the paintwork back to life (having seen Shed's car last week) and it looks good, the pics don't do the shine justice.

Really nice especially the seats have they been reupholstered?
We left the evermore expensive changing new cars every so so often years ago - a P5B saloon has been our newest car since although we do now have a selection of other old Rovers

It certainly looks excellent from the pics you have posted. Admiralty Blue always sets these cars off nicely. The interior looks as though it has had a lot of money spent on it.
It's amazing with Ford you could have any colour so long as it was black, and it seems from members photos, with Rover you could have any colour so long as it was blue. It cetainly is a very popular colour.
I hope you are pleased with your purchase you have a fine example there.
I nearly forgot to say that it is another car that was registered in Lancashire like mine.

Ace car! SO much better than the Impreza (?) and much cooler looking. Beautiful interior - very jealous that you can drive yours - mine's still coming together! Andy

You'll get more heads turning in the Rover then the Imprezza. A very nice example too. I drove up Biggleswade high street a few weeks ago and a boy of no more then 10 years was pointing and saying WOW! look at that car! I checked the rear view mirror, Skoda Fabia, front was a Ford Kack, it had to be me!! Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments guys. Dorsetflyer - I had no idea the car was from Lancashire. Phil, as you surmise the interior was reupholstered about 4 years ago and cost several ££££'s. It still looks pretty new as it hasn't travelled more than a few thousand miles since, although with a six and two year old that picture may change..... (Pat McCoy kindly hosted a coupe of pics from the seller which do it more justice in my thread in general which you might have seen) As for colour, I see a silver birch roof coming at some point. My wife and I really enjoy driving it, albeit we've not really been anywhere much in it yet, just on the driveway it has generated lots of interest from neighbours and passers by of all ages. Andy, yours looks like its going to be cracking when its done, and it'll all have been more than worth it. Ours looks fab from a few feet, but all panels need some work, so at some point we'll go through a similar process. We're just going to enjoy it while we work out where to send it and how much its going to cost. Steve - I didn't think you'd sussed

Are you going to fit some belts in the back for the children or are they already in situ? I can't see them in the image. You have got yourself a real beauty of a Coupe

Seat belts are there I'm pleased to say. Even more pleased now I've learnt their little idiosyncrasies and can use them at will (mine not theirs) ;D

Glad you are enjoying it. I love the car with the roof the same colour but thats up to you, you don't see many signal colour couples.

Pricey
I know what you mean, as time passes we may mellow on the subject. I think, stupid though it might be, neither of us has owned a car that could legitimately be two colour (plus the lighter top really seems to accentuate the roofline), so that alone may be influencing our opinion.
