Some pics so far:- We "Plod" on the nice bit now the interior the head lining is not a easy job the frame must be pinched 1/4" smaller than the measurement between the center pillars, I used a string and bracket puller if you don't when you put the frame back in the car you get sags! I found out but trial and error! keep it warm and don't pull too hard otherwise you will end up with crows feet! I didn't but if you do you the material is cotton backed you can use steam to shrink it I have been told the material I used is original s88.photobucket.com/albums/k163/johnwp5bcoupe/?sc=1&multi=1&addtype=local&media=image

You must have a lot of skill to get the results shown in your album.I wish the running gear etc on my car looked as good as yours. I envy you your garage!

Thanks lads I am learning more each day!! yes you can get the head liner through the front door Pat you have to take out both front seats and the gearbox tunnel cover hide the gearshift or take it off! just in case! take the door stop pin out and it will go through easier than taking a screen out. My garage is bigger than a double crossplies but still to small for a lot of jobs that need sewing machine and tables, not to mention compressor, mig welder, sand blaster etc etc! I was lucky I could use a friends workshop to prep and spray otherwise what a mess!!

Doing the under felt at the moment Big Andy cutting all the funny shaped bits that fit the grooves then sticking the top felt to them 1/2" felt with scissors is fun ;D

Gorgeous car! Can you use the same overfelt to fill in the groves in the metal floor, or is that a different felt all together? Ken

Hi Ken thanks the between the groove felt is standard underfelt and will compress to fill the space it matches the original stuff. The top felt is a very dense one and too thick to use in the grooves, they are stuck together as were the original ones messy job but worth it
