My first attempt here to post some pictures of my 1969 Coupe which has been laid up for the past 12 years!!!! Complete but covered in surface rust on the underside components. Chassis looks fine overall. Sills on both sides completely shot. Interior complete, including 4 headrests(!!), but needing a re-trim. I wouldn't mind some sundym glass if anybody knows of a set - I know it's highly unlikely but you don't find if you don't ask!!! I've tried to link you to a set of images at Image Cave and also to list an idividual picture. Wish me luck with the re-build - I know it's going to take an age !! usera.imagecave.com/kensingtoncoupe/strip-down-stage/usera.imagecave.com/kensingtoncoupe/chassis-underside/]

Best of luck, the stripping down is the easy bit!
Nice facilities by the way...

You will get there!
Sundym cars do occasionally turn up but do not hold your breath. Its a lot of bother to swap all the glass!

You've got a lot of work to do but ideal facilities. At least you won't have a problem with a garage 2" longer and 3" wider than your car with no heat or light!! Good luck with the project.

A very nice line up with some decent space!! Would like to see some pics of the "really old one" at some stage.

It looks worse than it actually is to me. With the space you have it will be a doddle, especially if you have room to store all the parts and have a bare bodyshell to work with. Dont forget to label everything. Its easy to think you will remember where it all goes, but two or three years down the line its not so easy !
Looks wistfully out of the window at our poxy little garage !

Thanks chaps for your positive responses!!! I know that I am lucky to have a decent sized workshop - we have labelled all items which ahev so far been removed and will start welding the new sills next week. All the glass will come out for the respray so if some sundym arrives before it goes back in all the better. I know most of you have been though this process with your own P5's so understand just how daunting it is at this stage. She is on a jig now to make things easier - see pics.

I presume you will be keeping the original colour scheme of 'Silver Birch' over 'Arden Green', it's a nice colour combination. Be careful when you do the coach lining on the sides though as I see from the pic that it was incorrect. The line doesn't extend beyond the front wheel arch. Lot's of cars I have seen make this mistake and it stands out a mile.

Looks like you have got your work cut out, but with that for a workshop and keeping things labeled and some nice picture you should be ok putting it back. Would like to see some pictures of the paint job when you get to it as I'm looking to get my bottom half colour changed. That goes for anyone else that as had any paint work done by someone in the surrey area they could recommend. Oh and Phil, lovely line up my dream garage

John - I will probably keep it to the original colours - like you I think that they are a nice combination - although I am, at this stage, thinking of Cameron Green or even Silver Birch with a Burnt Grey roof. You know how you play with ideas at this stage of a project!!! Any views greatly appreciated. Many thanks for the advice on the fine lines by the way.
PriceyP5 Will send you pictures of my paint job whilst in progress. I have a workshop and paint facility in Central London should you want some advice.

Cameron Green, which is also a very nice colour, to the purists is for the P6's only. But again it is your choice in the end.
