hi,my p5 is a 1962 mk2 but how do i tell the difference between a mk2 a,b or c?

Its a plain Mk2 it was only an "a" when the "b" appeared (standard power steering on saloons) - (no "b" Coupes either as these had the power steering).
The "c" from 1964 had the better engine with larger crank and loads of other really minor details like external door handles, petrol cap, reserve tank set up, instruments, gear shifts, brakes, variable speed wipers
Buy James Taylor's book for even more differences

Yes it was an option up to Oct 1964.
