Tom & David, I spent a lot of time early on on this board transferring the paint codes, and breakdown of constituent parts, both for the P5 and the P5B. Now I need to find these codes, using 'search' I can no longer find any of these in any of the sub divisions. I hope they have not been lost as an awful lot of information may be lost and I don't think I can repeat it. HELP!!!!!!!

Perhaps ther should be a separate folder for permanent data like these and plugs/oil filters etc/stockists?

Thanks for the reply on that. Phil has a good point though. Is it possible that things like Paint Codes, Oil filters, and Plugs etc could have a separate heading, as these sort of things are constantly being looked at, plus it will save anybody creating a new thread for something that is already there?

I agree. It would also be more beneficial if this "information page" could be accessed the same as profiles, search, etc., by tabs as heading this page; that way the information would be accessible instantly without the need for current search methods.
At the risk of volunteering, I imagine that someone could collate the information on a continual basis, updating either from direct e-mails to him/her or from the threads as they occur.
Or does anyone have other ideas ?
Regards to all.

Richard, the information is available on the subjects I listed. Paint codes will not change as far as I am aware, but filters and plugs would be updated as and when new part numbers become available.

I see what you mean. I was thinking though that all part numbers, specifications, in lieu items, codes etc., as opposed to general text information/advice, could be collated to one page, or set of pages (perhaps). This would alleviate the need to search and keep all such detail more accessible. Just a thought.

Guys I have put the colour codes as 'Stickys' at the top of the 3 & 3.5 litre bodywork section. I can do the same for mechanical specs etc. If this is not successful I would happily create a new section - I'm just aware that sometimes too many sections only complicates.

Thanks for the effort you two. If when you mean 'Stickies' the subject remains at the top of the section for good, then it's a good idea. Perhaps you can do the same with Oil Filters and Plugs?

John Yep, 'Sticky' means it stays at the top. I don't see a problem doing something for other items. I would also like to plug/encourage joining the Rover P5 Club - after all the cost is less than 5 gallons of petrol or approx: 90 miles in your Rover per annum (AROUND 9 MILES A MONTH!)
