The thread is 1/2 UNF so they will not do. Brake tube connectors are in any event different - you need the correct 5/16th? bundy with tube nut and Olive - try a hydraulic supplier. BTW that plastic tube is most unsatsifactory and could split and busrt into flames and should be replaced forthwith with the correct steel pipe (try David Green) or re-routed alway from the engine using nylon or copper 8 mm tube or high pressure fuel hose

Thanks Phil, the plastic fuel line was on the car when I bought it, I assumed it was origanal? unless some metal wrap has come off of it? The metal pipe is angled/bent away from the engine?

No metal wrap - the entire pipe from just under the gearbox from the reserve tap should be steel. That sort of plastic pipe is not meant to carry flammable fuel it is only fit for the garden!

Andy, I have the correct pipes on my car which you can have if you care to collect them. They are fine, and I am only going to remove them because I am replacing the engine for one from a Suffolk Punch.
I bet your plastic pipe is so hard it has swallows tattoed on its neck !

I am doing the same thing Andy renewing the metal pipe I am using Kunifer for this, from the Kunifer to SS covered flexi, flexi to in line 7psi fuel pump and then to the reserve c/o tap. I renewed as origional the nylon tube back to the tank, I have modified a standard fuel pump so the fuel can go straight through just to make it look standard. Have a look here for bits www.stevsonmotors.co.uk/

Thanks for link john, And a big thank you to smallfry, it was a pleasure meeting you today, and once again thanks for the pipe. It's always nice to put a face to a name. Just hope the weather cheers up enough so I'm able to put it on next weekend
