What are the current thoughts on how best to return these to a like new appearance, all (90%) of the Grey has flaked off my inlet manifold and the powder coaters feel the heat will do this again. The rocker covers would probably be OK in Grey powder coat ( I think) and then just buff the coating off the raised surfaces. Is this my best option.

Hi Allan I have had s spare V8 inlet manifold, both rocker covers and inlet elbows and flanges shot-blasted and powder coated. Apart from the inlet manifold, I have fitted all the other parts and they look great, especially the rocker covers with polished ribs. I will fit the inlet manifold as soon as I get the time 'cos it won't be a five minute job (I've got a load or re-plated carb linkages, carb service kits etc to do at the same time). I think the V8 inlet manifold will be fine in powder coat grey, it has to be better than the (flaky painted) finish on my existing manifold. Good Luck. Adrian Musto

Does anyone know the paint code / formula for the grey? I may have a go at painting them myself on my Saloon engine that I am rebuilding.
