Can anyone advise what the best and most reasily available steering fluid is for my recently acquired 1969 P5B Coupe?
Of the various makes in the Owner's Instruction Manual, the closest I have got so far is findign Castrol TQF mentioned in the Halfords fluid selection guide, but my local store had none.

Any ATF will do - its normal practice to use the same fluids as the gearbox as using the wrong sort in the gearbox will damage. If the gearbox has not been rebuilt then use any non Dexron fluid for BW/Ford boxes. If the gearbox has - then refer to the reconditioner.
Both types should be stocked by any reputable supplier including Halfords but if anyone says it will do for both types then go way and try another shop.
I use Comma AQF
