Hi,
I am going to fit my stainless exhaust soon and want to canvas opinions.
The long pipe with the silencer seems to go through my sub frame. The exhaust currently fitted has been cut about 12" from the sub-frame apperture and has a slip joint.
How did the come out the factory? I think I will have to cut and weld the collar. has anyone else had to do this job?
Thanks Colin

See earlier thread recently - it has a ball and socket joint the engine side of the subframe with a ring collar and two split steel collets that are fitted after the pipe has been slid through the hole in the subframe
The front "Y" section has a normal slip joint

Thanks for that phil. I got it off no problem tonight. It looks like the last time the section was replaced someone just cut the pipe and fitted a sleeve to join the sections. A good chance to sort another bodge. I took a few photos for others who may have the same question as I did. Colin
