Hi all Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Barry Price I've been a member of the owners club now for 7 years since i was 16. After seeing a picture of my dad's old P5B saloon (some of you who have had rovers since the early eighties may remember him Freddie Price) and that was it i just fell in love with it and knew i just had to have one. Well as i was only 16 and not even being able to drive i knew i was going to have to wait before i could sit in that lovely driving seat and as time went on moving out and getting my own place i still hadn't fulfilled my dream , until that is last week when i got myself my first Rover, a P5 saloon Mk11 automatic 1965 . It needs a little work but nothing to worry about i hope to get it to some shows soon including the national so if you see it or me please come and say hello as it would be nice to meet and talk rovers with you all, i will post some picture soon. For now hello and happy rovering ;D

Nice example Barry with an unusual colour scheme. Is it the original colours ?

Top half is original colour but has been painted in the past i think maybe when the bottom colour got changed, looking at the car it was all white but couldn't be sure. The bottom of the doors and wings have started to rust as normal so i was thinking of changing the bottom colour to grey and keep the top white. Whats everyone think?

Its your car do what you want - they look smart in two tone as the strips on Mk1 and 2 finish neatly. I think grey would look better than maroon. It will need an isolator coat to seal the red in as this will bleed through nay lighter colour and give a pink hue to it!
