Hi, this weekend I changed all water hoses (P5B 1973) because they were really old and leaking here and there, especially around the heater. Also I then refilled water and toped it up as decribed in the manual. The temperatur gauge on the first trip remained into the blue section showing very little temp. and after checking the coolant level again it now doesn´t work any more. Can it be an air lock? Does anybody have an idea what´s wrong ? If anybody has a photo of the section around waterpump/bypass hose/water pump to inlet manifold hose etc. I would be happy if you could send it to kai-uwe.engel@gmx.de I am from germany an d there´s no car around to have a look at Many thanks Kai-Uwe

Do all the hoses get hot?
Are you sure you have not disconnected the temp sender or damaged its terminal?
Was it performing OK before?

Hi, you were right ! I must have touched the connection to the temp sender while renewing the hoses and although still in place maybe because of a lot of dirt around there was no operating connection any more. After cleaning and refitting the hole thing, now everything works again like before and how it should. Sometimes it´s easy... if you know where to look Many thanks for the quick answer Kai-Uwe
