Sorry about the image size! Recently ordered and fitted a set of Gaz front and rear dampers to my P5B coupe and what a difference! Very easy to remove old dampers and fit new dampers. As you can see, these new dampers (short ones are front and long ones are rears) have an adjustment knob and has about 32 different click settings ! I ordered them direct from Gaz, see the web site at www.gazshocks.comor tele +44 (0)1268 724585 I supplied a front damper from my car as pattern and they did the rest. Price was about £65 each + vat. I'm very pleased with them (no connection with the company whatsoever) Freddy

They certainly look very smart. The front ones are always the easiest to fit.

Very nice Freddy!
I presume Gaz is a brand of British shock absorber and they aren't off the Russian car of the same name.

I think Glenn needs a set, judging by the way his car seems to be riding now. (The guy on the left almost swallowed his dentures on that last bump)

The guys on Glenns Avitar are driving down one of your Aussie motor ways Warwick Rover shocks can't cope with that I'm offended John. They're actually reasonably smooth. Take this section of the freeway just outside Melbourne for example. No bumps or potholes here! Admittedly it is just a couple of kilometres outside of the city centre so you'd expect it to be as good as this. This was taken on a recent trip into town to the theatre when we stopped to open the wombat gate. Someone left it open a couple of weeks ago and a herd of them got through causing chaos at peak-hour. Derailed 3 trams and an express train. The police were able to track down the culprits eventually and they copped a hefty fine. Turned out to be a couple of Pommie tourists. They won't do that again in a hurry.

your police are as good as the Portuguese Funny you should mention that John. When Thatcherism reached our shores, the police force was one of the first things to be privatized. I think the Portugese have the current contract. [glow=red,2,300]That's a strange color scheme for a P5b Coupe[/glow] Only on the driver's side. Sorry to wander off topic Freddy, but I had to defend our honour. Can you keep us posted as to your impressions of ride and handling as you get more miles up, and what settings you choose. Warwick.

Hi Warwick, I'll be over next easter for the National ROV2008 in Melbourne. Looks like we need to bring our wombat gun ( they make a lovely steak sandwich ) no mad cow disease here. Rover must have built the collonial model's to waft over pot holes, as we can drive at least 500 ks before we stop for a traffic jamb. Never hear of overheating here must be the clear blue sky. Most impresive looking dampers. I wonder if they also manufacture to fit a P4.

Hi Neil,
Unfortunately there is a clash of events next Easter and we're heading to Cooma for the Land-Rover 60th, although we are going to take the P5B. It's only held every 10 years and we haven't been since the first in '88. I'm in LROCV.
Don't forget you'll need a Victorian wombat permit, but really, it's easier just to shut the gate. Fewer kiddies can get hurt that way.
Just heard the news that we beat you at PROPER football in the grand final this afternoon. (That should stir things up a bit, although we're drifting away from Freddy's topic again - Sorry)
What cars do you have? A P5 and P4?
Warwick.
