can any body tell me the right way to change to electric fuel pump and what do you do were the old one is this is my p5 3.5 with a machanical pump

Use SEARCH set for 900 days - there are various options - hope you have got teh correct pump!
The old pump should be removed and blank plate fitted unless you want to "fake" it for originality

There are several places to fit them this was my solution you can do it from under the car without removing the gearbox tunnel search was not very helpful I have fitted the clamp on the other side hose just so my mate harvey doesn't worry Also done away with the fuse holder and wired to the ancillaries on the block

Glad you put a clip on that pipe John, it was beginning to worry me, hope you've tightened those prop bolts as well!
