I need a key blank for the column mounted lock. It has a triangular head. I can get it cut locally. I only have the one so I would be in deep doo doo If I lost it

Forgive me for being dumb Humphrey, but why do you need a triangular head? Surely any shape will do so long as it's cut correctly. If you can get the key cut OK, surely where you get it cut can supply a blank with any shape head.

I thought that it would help identify it. Perhaps you have one recently recut where they have a stock of blanks. I got the door keys recut but they could not do the ignition.

I have never seen any blanks for the column locks either - the two different locks I had on had worn keys so I could not identify the series but they were not FR/FA or FS

I had no problem getting a duplicate set of keys made, ignition, door and boot at my local key smiths (it's at Bromley North Station).
The ignition and boot keys are stamped SILCA Italy with numbers YA 19 and UNI 11A respectively. The door key is stamped with what looks like CEN with number UN 10.
The ignition key even has a triagular head!
I could maybe get a blank and post it to you if that would help.

That would be great Keith, I am living in France now and that is why I cannot find a blank here although the local cutter says that he can make one for me if I can get the blank. My address is Lees H 21 Moulin des Peres Bellac 87300 France Always happy to see P5 owners wanting a break in their journey.

Humphrey,
I'll pop one in the post ASAP. May not be this week as my SO is in Hong Kong and I need to look after the kids but hopefully I'll be able to get one next Saturday.
