Tis the new boy again............. My fog lights are beginning to look 'milky'. (a) Are replacements available and, if so, from where. (b) Are replacements available that only require a bulb to be replaced. (c) Are Yellow ones available and, if so from where. Your help would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards, John A.

Welcome back!
Secondhand ones are obtainable on Ebay/David Green. You can use standard main beam 5.25" sealed versions from P6, Humber Sceptres?capris etc - tint them with yellow paint made for this purpose and I have cone across some semi sealed beams which take separate bulbs - these are for export versions of the above twin headlamp cars or perhaps motorcyles?

Hi Phil, Thanks for that; I have heard about the yellow paint but the other 'avenues' are new so will check them out. Have been getting my hands dirty 'fettling' our car, hence the absence ! Kind Regards, John A.

I am not sure where you can get the yellow paint from nowadays- a craft shop? I first used it 35 years ago, and this was made for the job for French driving by Spectra. This was to colour the White indicator lenses on my West German AU 1000s -. These days its considered beezneez to have them White! Is this progress?

Hi Phil, Now that my new - Lucas - lights - painted yellow - have been fitted, I have to say that with the Arden Green of the car and, the new whitewall tyres, the whole ensemble looks really nice. What is more to the point, I have figured out how to use the the lights !! Am now beset with other 'challenges' but, will start a new thread for those ! Thanks for all of your help. Kind Regards, John A.

You are welcome - how qbout halogen headlight conversions - even the old high power sealed beams blacken with age and reduce light output as does old wiring and connectors and swithces so wire in a relay.
Yellow oglights are not rorinal (although period) so no concours prizes though for you - try best car of the show?

Hi all, thought you might like an update on my yellow fog lights! They did look 'the business' but, I happened to be out late one night in the pouring rain and, the spray from vehicles being overtaken - I wanted to get home! - washed the paint off the n/s lamp ! Not having that, so have returned to 'as original' You have to smile though, don't you ? Kind Regards, John A.l
