:oWent the the BMC rally today at Ferry Meadows Peterborough. This is an excellent show and autojumble organised by the Cambridge-Oxford owners club which has steadily grown over the years and there must have 7-800 cars and room for more of all types including about 1/2 doz assorted P5's The were quite a number of Farina Cambridges/Oxfords/Westminsters/4 litres and pre Farina A90/95's sporting smart P5B Rostyles Apparently although 15" instead of 14" they have the same offset and PCD and with low profile tyres give a slightly higher gearing so are well favoured even by concours owners. So make sure yours are firmly bolted. Another P5 wheeze is to use the roof panels as steel repair/welding panels The auto jumbles is always good with quite a bit of Rover stuff - I picked up a pair of brand new genuine Y rubbers for the rear springs for only £10 ;D I also got some nice asbestos brake pads (Girling) and some outer track-rod ends (QH) for very good price. This venue is so big now that some clubs hold their National there and it could easily swallow up a dwindling P5OC National and have room left over for the rven smaller RSR one too

I can't believe I missed those y rubbers !!!! I used my spare set a couple of years ago when I fitted new springs. The only item I saw was an inhibitor switch for the gearbox, which I did not buy as I would assume that these are readily available. I left at about 2pm and went to Wimpole Hall for the Eastern P5 rally, which was a good turnout and a very stately location

Would probably have gone to Wimpole but only heard about it afrer I had booked into Ferry Meadows - the pair of Y rubbers was a real find though as these do last longer than the substitutes
