Assuming not the belt which if worn can still slip when warm is the alternator charging. Lokk at teh ammeter whilst increasing engine speed slowly and observing light If it is cahrging then its likely to be the warning light can which looks like an old type flasher unit at the side of the fuse box.
If its not charging properly it may be the brushes which can be accessed easily by removing the plastic carrier in the end.
The regulator box ( black or red flat square plastic case) and also the field isolating relay (standard heavy duty single pole)both also next to the fuse box

Hi, I had the same problem with mine. Have a look over the back of the alternator, mine had what looked like a separate earth spade connector, away from the main nylon plug socket. Mine had become loose and corroded. Put a new spade on and its been fine ever since!

Wiring faults on our cars - the youngest with the best PVC wiring is over 35 years old wil become more common. The earth connectors and numerous hidden bullets and overheated Lucars can all cause high resistance
