Next problem! The painter filled the holes on the boot where the lettres 'ROVER' have to be fitted. So I must re-drill them. Can anybody tell me: - total length of the word ROVER, measured from the outer leftside of the first 'R' to the outer rightside of the last 'R'. - distance from top of the trunk to the top of the 'V'.
If I know these numbers, I can make a wooden model of the holes and drill the holes from the model
thanks!

I have just measured mine and the overall length is 425mm/16.75". I have taken into account that the sides of the letters are slightly sloped, so have ensured I have measured at the extremity. The letter "V" is smack in the middle. So if the outer "R"s are in place, the "V" will be halfway and the remaining two letters will then be half way placed again. Regards Richard Southampton

Thanks Richard! i can now start with my model. Have you perhaps also measured the distance between the 'V' and the top of the boot?
Best regards Guus

Just mearured them now. The distance from the top of all the letters is 410mm from the top of the boot.

I think this one of Rover's often inconsistencies. My P5B saloon has them 410mm as above yet my other one they are 415mm! The Mk2 3 Litre, which does have different letters although they are the same sizee its 430mm.
It looks there is another Concours fail point looming!!
