Any clue whether doorhandle-gaskets can be made out of a piece of rubber, or should I order a set from Scott's...

I tried to make some but gave up in frustration and I throughly recommend the gaskets from Scotts they look very professional.

Not all the cars had door gaskets fitted I am reliably informed.

I checked up in my parts book Glenn I may have read the book wrong it gives 2 part numbers if I read it correctly Mk2 coupes suffix A and B none fitted from C onward they are but no part number for the small washer specific to C onward so can we assume it is the same or not there which would be strange Mk1 and Mk1a have a different part number on the large washer and there is only one small part number listed I have see late cars a DG untouched with no rubbers so confused.com Parts book 4825

Correct early door handles were different anyway in appearance and number of fixings (2 not 3)
