Pat, you can check if the registration is still current by going on to the DVLA website. Alternatively, if you know a friendly garage doing sales /servicing, they can access a different part of the DVLA which will come up with more detail like whether it has current tax, Sorn, and also if it has a current MOT.

I have checked Tax was due in 1989 The year he sold it But it never has been tax Strange because when he sold it he got quite a bit of money for it,as it was in good condition

Yet another unfinished restoration project that may or already has landed up with DG or other people that break these cars?

What is the pathway into the part of the DVLA site which tells you what happened to a particular vehicle? Thanks

Not had this one, just checked the registration numbers of the cars that i have had. I wondered where my old black 3 litre MK11 342 RRT had gone, (My first of over 100) owned it for nearly 20 years and now the old girl has appeared on ebay today with a realocated number. Vanguards modelled there black Mk11 from it in approx 2000 and some of you have probably got her sitting on your mantle piece.Various coloured models then apperared and still are. Also featured in Practical Classics when we took her to Brighton and Hastings for a photo shoot. Also appeared in the film Julie and the Cadillacs starring, Thora Hird and Toyah Wilcox.Such history must be worth saving!! David Green
