Hi John
Yes it was a brilliant day. Having been to many classic car events over too many years than I care to remember, this has to be the best day out we have ever had. I really cannot recommend it highly enough. If you do decide to go next year pre-order your tickets at £8 - it was £15 on the gate.
The photos can only capture a moment. Hearing Bugattis, ERAs, Maseratis, Frazer Nash, Austin 7s, Alfas, Amilcars.. etc etc. really racing is a sound that should be committed to CD.
My son took some video. I will post here when its been compiled.
Yes that is my old Canon. This time I set it on 'TV' when the cars were racing, which allows you to set the 'film' speed and allows you to defocus the background and capture the cars easier - some of the shots are not as sharp as I hoped.

Yep, have to agree the racing shots are not as sharp as last time. Still, you live and learn. ;D

There was one driver in an ERA if I remember, that purposely 'drifted' around one corner....
......and they say you need a Japanese car to do that ;D
