I dropped a pair of mole grips on Saturday and you guessed it put a small ding in the top of my wing. It's hardly noticeable but I know it is there!! and I squirm everytime I see it, so she has been booked in to be done. It's so annoying

Hi Glenn, I can sympathise; whilst rebuilding my Mk1 Jensen Interceptor after a full bare metal respary I somehow managed to shut the automatic garage door down on the open bonnet, to say I was slightly upset would be an understatement After getting this straightened and resprayed, all (apart from my wallet...) was well. One weekend morning about 3 months later - I was polishing the bonnet with a rag which, unbeknown to me contained a small bit of swarf, it helpfully cut right through the paint to metal in one big sweeping ark as I was polishing it off . Another rubdown and spray later its been fine for 6 months now, no more mishaps - but I am VERY carefull now... Cheers, Steve.

I know the feeling. A year or so back a leak from the master cylinder badly stained the original carpet in my car and it has been impossible to get out. That's the problem with the m/c, if it fails, most of the brake fluid goes inside the car

Have you considered some thing like DENT MASTER or DENT DEVILS for dent removal? I think its about £80 per panel and paint work should not be required.

I collected a nasty dent on the rear wing of my 'daily drive' from a stone going through roadworks. I went to dent magician who got it out completely, it was impossible to see where it had been. This is ok as long as the paint is not damaged

Well we all at it with wrecking our nice shiny paintwork I will tell you mine. I was refitting the rear bumper on my P5B saloon a few months ago and the rag I had taped over the ends slipped off one side and it made a serious of small oval dings right through my new perfect paint job. So in the new year it will have to come off to get it repaired coz I know it is there! Rats
