Their price does not seem too bad. I thought there was only one plastic UK badge manufacturer anyway but cannot remember who. There are several enamel badge makers/restorors

If you'd like to e-mail me a good photo and description of what you are looking for I can see what he's got. I've never seen a Mk.1 badge up close, in the flesh.

Thanks Phil. Should have looked first. I'd forgotten that this was an old thread. I remember seeing the photos now.
So am I to understand from the description and photos that it is a piece of moulded clear plastic with the colour painted on the back? Rather than the more common badge construction consisting of a piece of cast metal with the colour painted (or glazed enamel) on the front.

Injected clear acrylic/plastic, painted from behind with a nasty bio-degradable paint!
