Hi All, I have recently purchased a a 1965 P5, and it has the white/yellow number plates. I have been trying to find a replacement back to Black with with raised or silver plates. Front no problem, but the rear one is causing a problem. Could anyone help with finding a company that will make up both plates to the correct size. Steve.

The rear will not be easy if you want it shaped as per original you will have to find a one that has been used with standard plate or fill in the holes and respray have a word with David Green green.david10@sky.com there is some old posts on this subject

JRW provides close match number plates - try pl8s.co.uk/ who made up mine so will be aware of the style

I wouldn't bother with the Wadhams "close match" backing plate, it's rubbish and poorly made.It doesn't even have the beaded edge. Get an original from one of David Greens scrap cars and restore it yourself, it's easy to do. You will then have a proper pre-drilled heavy duty aluminium plate ready to fit in the boot recess and you can then add your made up B&W plates to it. I stuck mine on and posted some images last year and there was a full discussion about the subject at that time.

I am having a set of plates made up by steve Frampton.
Which reminds me that I need to phone him to see if it is ready yet. Friendly guy to deal.
Last I heard JRW was out of stock as I asked steve to see I he could source the plate from him.
