Hi , Can anyone tell me what type of rubber bobbins to get to make up new Y mount or do I buy new?

Loads about this on Search but Land Rover gearbox mounts will do but not last as long and Wadhams sell remanufactured ones.
NOS appear on Ebay from time to time but fetch good prices
Same for both P5 and P5B's as well - they are often dameged by careless tyrefittes allowing the rear axle to hang on them when jacking which is not good

You can also use Rover p4 front engine mounts.

When jacking up my P5 I am aware of the problem but I have no idea how to avoid that stress on the y-bushes. I use the front spring eyes to jack up. Any better ideas ? Mark

Centre of the diff case - I use an old outer bearing race to protect the drain plug from the jack saddle

Good idea Phil, but if you do not have a bearing i use a block of wood with a hole drilled in it just a bit bigger then the drain plug.
