Entry forms for this year's SARR have been sent out to previous entrants and those who had requested them, and already we have had responses from over 30 owners, including 11 P5ers. If anyone else wishes to enter, please email me and I will send an entry form back to you via email. tcp5@sarr.co.ukBookings for the Saturday evening are going fast, with only around a dozen places left, so if you were planning to take part, get that form back to me pronto!

All seats for the evening buffet on May 23 are now sold, so any members / guests who have not yet submitted an entry form should make alternative dining arrangements for Saturday evening.

Just seen the long range weather forecast for the weekend, and it looks favourable! Maybe if we make a sacrifice to the rain god he will stay away and not be tempted to join us!
The rally control caravan will be parked in the show area. Its painted blue and white, and will be difficult to miss, 'cos there will be plenty of chaps in dayglo vests trying to instil a sense of order into the chaos. You do not have to be there at 9:00am on Sunday, but do try to be there before 10:30, especially if you want to grab a good spot to park within the allocated area. As so many cars are entered, (nearly 120 pre-booked) we may have to put late arrivals in an overspill area.
An interesting idea has been suggested in another forum which you may wish to consider, especially as many forum members have never (so far) actually met face to face. I have left a blank area on the showcard into which entrants may write their forum name, so that a face can be put to a name and vice versa. Any entrant wishing to stay anonymous may leave this blank, or use the space to add details of their car, such as history, modifications, or whatever.
Looking forward to seeing you at Thirlestane!

The 2009 rally was a great success, with a total of 139 cars entered. This included 20 P5s, probably the greatest concentration of P5s ever seen in Scotland! The weather on Sunday was fine and sunny, and everyone seems to have had a good time admiring the cars and the castle. In addition to the usual Rovers we had 20 Wolseleys, and 20 members of the Rover 75 & MG ZT Club came along. Many thanks to all who attended and especially those who helped make the day go so well. A "first cut" slide show is loaded, a fuller version will follow in due course. www.youtube.com/watch?v=er2Je1K0e1E

Thanks to all the P5 club members who supported SARR 2009 at Thirlestane Castle.
I have put together a YouTube slide show of the event for those who want to see what it was like.
See you next year?
