The above steam fair which includes both classic and vintage cars is on this Sunday 31st May. Held in the town centre car park which is all hard standing there is a good mix usually and for once fingers crossed the weather is set fine for the whole weekend.
Normally I would rate Tavistock as the wettest place in Devon but this year it looks as though it might behave itself.
So if anyone amongst the P5 fraternity in the area fancies a run out its well worth it.
I have no idea how many P5's will turn out but there are two P5 Coupes going and that's definite.
This will probably be the last longish distance run I'll do this year as unfortunately failing health and frequent trips to the hospital are the order of the day now, so any I do will be local only.

John I felt quite sad to hear about your health, I hope things look up for you, and that you can still get out and enjoy your P5, anyway have a great weekend.

Thanks for those kind wishes,I will certainly try and keep getting out while I can. The big problem is I cannot do anything on my car and this is most frustrating. Today I finally had to give in and get myself a walking stick after I fell over indoors and only stood up with great difficulty (luckily no one was watching at the time), but when you're down the shops and find you are clinging on to the shelves etc for support you know its time.

Yep same here John in relation to Norvin. I see your mug every night as I have one of those digital photo frames and it has the photo of the four of us at Brooklands when I wore my Union Jack shirt. The weather does look fantastic for the weekend and I hope you have a good time. My best wishes to you and I really hope things improve too. Keep the faith

I am very sorry to hear you are not too good John at the moment but do hope you can find a way to get out again and enjoy driving and fixing your cars even though it may take longer!
I do know from personal experience what its like not to get around and do activities taken for granted. Only a couple of weeks ago herad that NHS has at last released funding for my op after only 3 years wait. This will not be a cure but if successful will reduce the very strong painkillers I am taking just to keep mobile.
Besides nothing wrong with a stick or falling over!
Do hope we can meet up sometime again
Kind regards to both of you anyway from both of us!

Choose a nice stick John. Perhaps a stylish mahogany one with a silver Viking head and a sword inside. Use it with a flourish to keep sticky little fingers off the paintwork when you do go to shows.
Hope you can get to many more.

Warwick, I like your style. You could inflict some serious damage with those winged helmets. Seriously though John, wishing you a return to good health and lots of 'Rovering'. The Four Musketeers

Always great to put a face to a name. Maybe John, a trip to a Portuguese spa (mineral water baths etc...) would improve your health. In spring they are absolutely fabulous. My father-in-law does it once a year and it does marvelous for his health.

Come to think of it, I think the other guy was called Steve too. Good advice from Miguel DF,I would try anything once. It may help. All the best.

Sorry Glenn the sun must have affected you. The guy on your left and next to me is Patrick Kelly from Bournemouth he has an Arden Green/Silver Birch coupe. Evidently he is a longtime club member and joined long before he bought his car. The scruffy one on your right is of Steve Vine the Wessex Group rep. Hope this rekindles the memory.

That's okay then John. So long as you're not sneaking out to an internet cafe when no-one is watching.
