I have found a mk II coupé in a barn here in Sweden. It is in fact a sad story, the car is owned by a elderly couple who's son started to rebuild the car more than 10 years ago, unfortunately the son was killed in a accident on the farm 10 years ago. I have not seen the car yet, it is ca 350 km from my home, but I have spoken with a friend to the son, who says that the interior is fine and best of all red. I am thinking of buying the car for the interior. I don´t know how the rest of the car is, I have to see it. The car is dismantled, the engine and subframe is out. The engine is rebuilt. My question is can a use a mk IIc engine in a mk IIa without any problem? both car is manual.
Regards
Lars

Will fit straight in as long as it and Auto to auto/manual to manual. The engines are different of course the Mk2c cars havng the better engine. Automatic cars have differnent crankshafts and cams to manuals

Thanks Phil
I will visit the old couple soon, and take a good look at the car, maybe it is to good to break. In my opinion mk IIc is the best P5. The car is no:73800291C, it is dark grey, with red trim. It all depends on the rust.
