Can any one shed some light on my problem?
Have a p5 with a speedo which doesn't work, i have replaced the drive unit in the gearbox, changed the cable and now the speedo unit in the dash, and still no luck.
What else is there? Running out of ideas HELP!!!

I assume it's a 35 box?
When you say the drive gear in the box do you mean the driven gear or the angle drive? The angle drive is the most common failure. Check the driven gear if you haven't already done so, then check that the bolt that holds the rear flange on to the gearbox is tight, if it's loose it doesn't clamp the speedo driven gear allowing it to spin on the shaft.

Yes 35 box, and have already checked the driven gear and even replaced it but still nothing

Time to try tightenening the rear flange bolt then............

You might check the size of the new cable. I've found that newer speedometer cables are sometimes a metric size that is smaller than an older imperial size and won't always work.
